Self-Defense Class for Girls at Cali (Grades 6-8)
In this fun and empowering class, girls will learn verbal and physical skills to defend against various types of assault. Skills taught are easy to learn, easy to remember, powerful and effective and have been used successfully by girls and women in real-life assaults. Class includes Assertiveness Skills in which the girls learn how to speak in a clear and direct manner, how to say "No," how to respond to inappropriate and unwanted touching, to set clear limits and stand up for themselves. Class includes information and discussion regarding how to avoid dangerous situations, our legal right to use self-defense, trusting our intuition, and what to do if facing dating violence and sexual harassment.
DATES: four Wednesdays October 2,

TIME: 2:15 to 4:15 pm.
LOCATION: Multi-purpose Room
CLASS FEE: $60 per student. (two scholarships are available)
